Student Attachment (Undergrad & Postgrad)

We offer opportunities for passionate students to join our student attachment program.

SeSaMe, as a research centre, under Interactive Digital Media Institute (IDMI), National University of Singapore (NUS), we understand the importance of grooming young talents. Under our student attachment programme, with a dynamic and comfortable working environment promised, students are offered chances to work with researchers on a real-world research/industry-driven problem and gain invaluable experiences during the attachment period. At the Centre, we have various sub-projects ranging from Foundation of Sentient Multimedia systems, Multimedia distribution platform, to Sensor-enhanced social media applications. Important note: We are looking for NUS students under ATAP and Mcomp (Master by Dissertation) and undergrad students to work on several projects and also relevant topics to below.
Project 1: Data Collection and Annotation of Tweets
Project 2: Named Entity Recognition (NER) in Tweets
Project 3: Linking the Virtual and Physical World
Project 4: Realizing Virtual Location-based Services
Project 5: iFindyou
Project 6: Integrate various research prototypes into the SENSE framework. The student is expected to know C++, Linux, and Git. Knowledge in Qt and OpenCV will be a plus
