SeSaMe Centre held its closing workshop on Wednesday 26 September 2018 to commemorate Centre's key research achievements over the past 6 years. The SeSaMe Centre officially ceased operations from 30 September 2018.

SeSaMe PhD students receive SoC Research Achievement Award in the Academic Year 2017/2018
Dang Khanh Hung and Li Junnan are recipients of SoC Research Achievement Award in the Academic Year 2017/2018. The award is presented to PhD students who have achieved outstanding research performance over the past academic year. Ramon Bespinyowong was also named in the Honor List of Student Tutors.

Luan Wenhao (SeSaMe's undergraduate student) receives 2016 FYP/UROP Innovation Award
Luan Wenhao is the recipient of 2016 SoC's FYP/UROP Innovation Award for his proposal, "Parallel Inverted Index Searching on the GPU". The FYP/UROP Innovation Award was set up to recognize student projects which are innovative and have commercialization potential.
