In today’s global marketplace, organisations and business executives are overwhelmed by the vast amount of data, decisions are often delayed due to too much information. How do we ensure insightful information are provided speedily to the right people when they need it?
Equally worth noting is the impact of social networking in our daily lives, changing the way we communicate and interact with each other.This year, SeSaMe Workshop’s talks and technical demonstrations will focus on the innovative solutions we have developed at the Centre. The innovations are aimed at enhancing the performance of current sensor systems such as CCTV by incoporating the insightful information discovered from Social Media.
The research and innovation focus on these three priority areas – Information on-the-go, Lifestyle, Security and Analytics. The three areas that impacts the way we live, work and play.
This workshop brings together key researchers, Professors, Researchers and students from National University of Singapore and Zhejiang University, China, as well as key industry partners, to showcase research progress and system prototypes, at the same time sharing and exchanging ideas on perspectives, knowledge and insights. An interactive platform to connect with the participating research groups of the two Universities and industry partners, it creates not only great networking opportunity in exploring collaboration possibilities; but also to stimulate further research aims to benefit the community, and work towards the goals of SeSaMe Research Centre - to realise the integration of Social networks and Cyber-physical systems into “Social Cyber-Physical Systems”.
